Job Description
SaskCentral is owned by Saskatchewan credit unions to serve and represent their collective interests. We add value through the sound investment of credit union funds on deposit, as well as providing a wide range of products and services to maintain credit union leadership in the marketplace. Consultant, Communications We are seeking a creative and driven strategic thinker who is an exceptional writer to join our Marketing and Communications team. The successful candidate is a seasoned professional who will use their unique communications skills to capture the voice and essence of SaskCentral’s CEO, and will have the opportunity to work effectively with senior leaders including executive management, the board of directors and peers from partner organizations. Responsibilities: Reporting to the Manager, Marketing and Communications, you will provide a combination of ad hoc and pre-planned communications support to multiple audiences. You will be responsible for developing strategic communications plans and materials including web content, presentations, speeches, briefing notes and media releases. Utilizing your personable and collaborative skills, you will work as part of a cross-functional team, and will provide communications co-ordination and support to SaskCentral’s departments and standing projects.
Qualifications
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in Communications, Journalism or Liberal Arts, preferably in English. You will bring a creative perspective and have strong skills in communication analysis, and writing. With a dynamic writing portfolio and background, you will have the proven ability to develop online and print communications from concept through to delivery. You will also have experience in media relations and providing strategic communications on behalf of a CEO or executive team. A working knowledge of the credit union system would be considered an asset.
